"International Women's Day"
"International Women's Day"
Limited Edition print by Amanda Phingbodhipakkiya, the artist of the “Horizon Light” mural at 852 Laurel St. (north wall of The Crepe Stop facing Bianchini's Market).
From Amanda’s Instagram post about this piece: “Celebrating #internationalwomensday! Sharing a snippet of a @findings.art mural in DC completed in May 2021 All the FINDINGS murals reimagine the brilliant scientific research of badass #womeninSTEM as vibrant public art. This one in particular is about proton collisions, and I had the great honor of working with physicist, Dr. Ayana Arce, based at Duke on it. I depict women as I see them in the world: vital, powerful, and harnessing their strength and creativity to build, create and explore new worlds. As much as FINDINGS murals are about science, they’re also a moving tribute to womankind.”
Prints will be signed by the artist and available for pickup on Saturday, August 14, 2021 between 9am and 10am at the mural site or by other arrangement (email: info@sancarloscf.org) - local deliveries only.
The artwork has been printed using a Giclee printer on acid-free fine art textured paper. Size: 24”x18”
