Emergency Food Information: If anyone is in need of food, they should call the Second Harvest Food Bank's Food Connection Hotline (in any language) at 800-984-3663 for a referral to a nearby location.
School Meal Locations: Second Harvest Silicon Valley manages a Google Document that lists school food locations in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties. Please check the document regularly for updates.
CalFresh Program (SNAP)
This program may help you and your family buy food needed for good health.
Offer:
Provides monthly food benefits to individuals and families with low-income
Helps people buy nutritious foods for a better diet, stretching food budgets, and allowing individuals and families to afford nutritious food, including more fruit, vegetables and other healthy foods
Benefits depend on household size, countable income, and monthly expenses, such as housing and utilities
Benefits paid monthly on an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card
Usable for food purchases at any grocery store or farmers market that accepts EBT cards

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)
This program provides food and nutrition help at no cost. If you need emergency food assistance, have. limited income, and meet the program guidelines, you can pick up the food from your local food pantries or soup kitchens. Available foods vary but typically include canned fruits and vegetables, meat, chicken, fish, dried beans, pasta, rice, peanut butter, and more.

Feeding America Network of Food Banks
This network of 200 food banks and 60,000 food pantries and meal programs serve people in nearly every community. Meals and groceries are available to anyone who needs it without obligation, regardless of circumstance. It is free and confidential.
