Day 20: Taking Action

Congratulations! We know these topics can be uncomfortable and you have committed your time and energy for the last 20 days. In difficult conversations, knowledge can lead to real change. We know these discussions can be difficult and can bring up powerful emotions, but your commitment to increasing your awareness is what will help move our community forward. Real change will not happen overnight, but it starts with each of us individually although we don't have to do it alone. Thank you for embarking on this journey with us; a future of racial equity and social justice is liberation for all of us. Knowledge is power - be powerful!

main CHALLENGES

Reflection. What have you taken action on so far during this 21-day challenge? What are 3 thing you want to share with a friend, family member, or colleague? Take 10-15 minutes and write it down. Research shows that when you write down your goals, you are more likely to commit to them and achieve them.

self-reflection questions

  1. What are 3 things you would like to commit to in the next year based on what you've learned during the 21-day equity challenge?

  2. Identify who and what you need to support you to act on the commitments you've chosen (e.g., anti-racist friend or group; podcasts, websites, classes, and other learning tools)
