Design Tech high school seniors, Lauren Wu and Annie Phillips (together known as Splash of Color) installed their first environmental advocacy mural in Pacifica, CA in 2011. In January 2022, Splash of Color hosted the Native Species Rock Painting event at the San Carlos Week of the Family.

“Love More” is an environmental advocacy mural working to inspire and foster community appreciation and protection of San Carlos’ native species. Bringing a “Splash of Color” to the Industrial Arts District is the second public art installations projects lead by the Community Foundation to help build our community together to enhance the quality of life for all who live, work, learn or play in town.

San Carlos is home to one of the artists, Lauren Wu. Over the Summer of 2021, Splash of Color installed their first environmental protection mural in Pacifica, CA - home to Annie Phillips.
